Kids Yoga Starts Oct 2

Children 8-13

CA$40.00

Special Offering    11 weeks of classes for $40

Kids Yoga is an awesome way for your child to gain coordination, flexibility and self confidence.
It's a wonderful tool for building self confidence, discernment and focus.

The focus of this yoga session for children is about the correct use of their body, in particular the joints and limbs to build a strong body. For children in sports, the discussion inn class teaches them body movement awareness that helps prevent injuries and also empowers them in muscle and bone development as they mature.
For children who may not be physically active, this is a wonderful opportunity for them to confidently access movement that stimulates positivity on many levels.
The discipline that comes from using yoga as a tool for personal development teaches correct body posture and walking skills.
This benefits in sports, dance and life in general.

I don't teach any form of religion. I share strategies for children to be aware of movement and how to use the moveable parts of their body for coordinated  and correct alignment of their physical body.

Even young children identify that they are aware of when they're too busy and not focused.
This will look like talking above everyone, even yelling, not waiting their turn or being too emotional.
This class offers an environment that fosters: waiting your turn, being patient, tools for being calm & collected.

To have this awareness at a young age is super empowering and leads to better concentration, build confidence and even. their intellect.

Starting Oct 2 3:30-4:30.
Doors open at 3:00 children can come after school
There is time if they have a snack in their lunch or just want to visit

They'll require a yoga mat and water bottle. Please don't buy any at Dollar store.
They don't support movement very well.
I have a filtered water machine and extra mats if one gets forgotten. They are welcome to leave mats for the duration of series.

Who am I, and why do I teach yoga to children?

Hi, I'm Lorrel Elian.

I often thought how powerful it would be to give children a gift, a personal tool that challenges them to be their better version of themselves on their own terms. This would possibly avoid or prevent situations that many adults suffer. This is how I experienced yoga. I never planned to teach it, but I couldn't not keep moving forward. My own teacher insisted her students go out and teach as a responsibility to one's community. The seed was planted.

My husband and I and our fur babies Coco & Asia moved to Bruno in 2020 from Delisle, Sk.
I've had a variety of careers that in some way are all linked to health, wellness and movement.
I taught adults for most of my career and for over the past decade I was a top teacher in North America educating in the personal development field and Trauma Therapies.

I started practicing yoga to improve my own health and started teaching yoga in 2012.
I am internationally accredited having achieved 500hr YTR
I previously owned a yoga studio in Saskatoon and was the founding teacher for Delisle Community Yoga with over 50 students
and certified in Children's Yoga in 2014

My whole family practice yoga and one of my daughters also certified as a teacher.
Yoga is one of the tools I draw on daily.

This class will have limited spots available so please register early so your child doesn't miss out.

Yoga has brought so many gifts to my own children that it's my pleasure to share this with your family.

I am always open to suggestions about class times & dates.
I wish only to better serve my community.
