Emotional Release On a Ball

Many walk through their every day life unconsciously moving their body through regular patterns like walking, exercising, talking, unaware that the way they're moving isn't the way your body was designed. This alone may be what is contributing to the pain in your body.

Emotional Release on a Ball

Did you know your body has a natural and logical order to how it functions.
When it’s not used according to your body’s design, over time the misuse is how dis - ease, pain and dysfunction start showing up.

All the experiences you have in your life, shape how you walk, talk and feel, which further creates how you, and your body look. It’s a direct link to how your life looks.

Going to the gym, working out, having a yoga practice, all exercise is beneficial to your physical and emotional health. Although once you walk off the mat, or out of the gym, you generally walk back into your regular pattern. If you aren’t consciously aware of how you’re articulating your joints and using the natural logic of your body’s design, the patterns that shape you, remain.
Stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, joy, sensitivity and empathy will all look a certain way on, and in you.
Sound like a puzzle? Well you are.

The mysteries of your life are wrapped up in the package you call a body. Your body is the vessel that carries your soul through this lifetime.
I’m not a scientist, nor do I have a medical background. I have an amazing doctor who I rarely see and who has come to my body rolling workshops.
My expertise comes from a practical background in searching for solutions to what was causing the life long pain in my body. Decades of training and certifications in human physiology, anatomy, spirituality and studies on how our environment affects us.
Everything is energy and I am continually shown how much we have yet to learn about the depth of this truth. We interact with the electric currents that are in our space 24/7

Since 2008 I have been immersed in the mind body culture and community.

As a student, it was life altering to be front & center at trainings where mind and body transformations happened. At 42 I discovered I had a body!.
I had become disconnected from body and didn’t even realize.

While having a difficult birthing experience that led to my first child being delivered cesarean, the nurse, out of kindness said “Just disconnect from what’s happening, we’ll take care of what’s going on down here”. And so I did.
Twenty years later after many more surgeries, I also went through emergency surgery to remove my uterus.

Years later, even though the uterus was no longer there,
I was still dealing with cramps and unexplainable discomfort.
Doctors were at a loss as to what more they could do for me.
My quality of life deteriorated. Depression and weight gain persisted
as I searched for a solution.

I went down the rabbit hole on a journey to heal my body and emerged
with a new physical form, a clear bill of health and a new path, guiding
others to discover what I had learned. It's possible to eliminate pain and
inflammation without pharmaceuticals. This involved more work on my mind
to change the patterns that created so much of the physical pain.
It took time and required perseverance. Finding a new supportive community
was integral. Accountability without judgement taught me how to be honest
with myself. No one was coming to save me, I had to do that for myself.
That's when I started to have breakthroughs. Being caught in a constant fight pattern from stress prevented my body from shedding weight. Hormone imbalance effected sleep patterns which translated to exhaustion and created a pretty cranky mommy who was constantly beating herself up. Several exploratory surgeries due to endometriosis and fibroids left scar tissue that worsened internal pain. When I found movement, I finally found peace.

By the time my fiftieth birthday arrived, my life and body looked and felt completely different. Pain and old patters prematurely age you. Your body holds your old story at a cellular level.
You look how you feel.
This is why movement is key. Conscious movement is using your body mind awareness to shift the cellular memory so it can release the old patterns that have created the pain or discomfort you're experiencing today.
Some people say workout, I say the inner work.
When I finally found a yoga practice that I enjoyed, old mental patterns started shifted. I replaced burying myself in a bowl of popcorn and hiding away with a healthy plant based pattern and life it got easier. I softened and the world around me seemed to follow. If you think life is hard, it is.
I traveled to Texas for my first training with Yamuna Body Rolling in 2014.
The first time I rolled, I knew YBR would be an amazing tool to demonstrate emotional release processes in the courses I taught . Once you start rolling you get completely out of your head and into the wonderful sensations in your body as tension in muscle and joints slide away. No analyzing, no story, just pure pleasure.

Yamuna Body Rolling is emotional release on a ball. The process emotionally and physically softens your body as you roll from the origin of the muscle to the insertion. Scar tissue that's attached to bone starts to release and so does the pain it causes.
It was a powerhouse tool to add to my yoga practice.
The results for those coming to workshops really caught my attention at a social event when standing near a woman I didn’t recognize at first. I talked to her later that evening surprised that the shy, introverted person I had known for over a year was now in a completely new persona and had found her chatty Kathy. Compared to the timid, quiet student who set her mat at the back of the room not wanting any attention on her. Over many texts and emails, she praised how much pain relief she was receiving from faithfully rolling, yet when I asked her to share her story she couldn’t.

This was a similar response from others and I wondered why.
I learned that night that the trauma she experienced from domestic violence had controlled her life.
She had locked her beautiful bright spirit away feeling she needed to protect it from the outside world.
She had been living in so much fear and now it all made sense.
She had literally rolled the physical pain from emotional trauma out of her body which shifted her emotional state too.

When your inner world changes so does your outer world.
She eventually overcame her fears and started creating a new pattern that continues to reshape her life and her body.
So many stories of personal healing have inspired me to continue rolling.

People attracted to YBR are often body based practitioners like physiotherapists, RMT's, Pelvic floor specialists and yoga teachers. What caught my attention is those that aren't generally interested in yoga or haven't been physically active sign up to roll. This is fabulous, everybody can roll. There are routines for on the mat or against a wall or sitting.
When you first experience Yamuna Body Rolling, you might not realize how much pain you’ve been managing until it leaves.
Become more curious about your body.

It's designed to last a very long time. Learning to roll on the Yamuna ball taught me a deeper understanding of how my body is designed to function. Foot and ankle pain have gone away after decades. Knee & hip joints are kept flexible allowing for ease of movement and critical for quality of life.
From articulating your joints to strengthening your pelvic floor, YBR increases your body mind awareness and makes movement fun again.
